Do you feel like your environment has taken control of your finances? Are you living paycheck to paycheck, barely making it each week as long as things are good? Regardless of your income, you can take control of your financial life and create a secure future that you want.
When I was in my early 20’s I had a steady job while I was in college. I had worked all through high school and didn’t realize how important saving or watching my spending habits would impact my 20’s. I opened credit card accounts believing I could “work extra” to afford the lifestyle I wanted and wound up with more debt than income very early on. Thankfully, my family took a stand for me and shared some tools that helped me to cut the debt and creating a budget that allowed me to save and be mindful of my spending.
Many people feel managing their money is stressful or they don’t know how to save while paying their bills. If this is you, trust that you are not alone. My friend Matthew spent years struggling from paycheck to paycheck, paying the minimum on credit card debt and being stressed out when he wanted to do something fun and didn’t have the money to afford it. Once he learned some basic money management skills he began to see the opportunities to save and enjoy concerts and weekend trips with his friends.
Looking back over my own financial struggles and successes, situations that friends and clients have shared there are foundational keys to understanding and managing your finances. Building your financial literacy will allow you to begin to take action to create a greater financial future that you deserve.
In Money Skills for Young Adults you will discover…..
Robert Kiyosaki said, “Financial freedom is available to those who learn about it and work for it.” Budgeting and mindful spending won’t take all the fun out of your life. It will actually create a sense of accomplishment and grow your financial security. If you aren't working towards anything specific, you will likely spend more than you should. Even if you have struggled to follow a budget in the past or had a big life event drain your finances you CAN choose your own financial path and stop living paycheck to paycheck.
The most important thing to realize is that you do have control over your financial situation, no matter your income level. There are always going to be financial set backs, and how you are prepared for those events will decide your ability to eliminate stress and uncertainty in your finances.
This book will help you know how to make your money work for you!
